Participant / Escort declaration and Disclaimer - Mountain to valley Race 2024
I hereby affirm that I am over the age of 18 (minimum age for participation in the Ultra-race) or 16 (minimum age for participation in relay race and half marathon), healthy and fit both physically and mentally for the " Mountain to valley Relay Race" and I have trained for it as required. My physical condition was examined and confirmed by a qualified physician.
I affirm that I have thoroughly read the regulations and I accept all of its contents.
I affirm that my physical condition was examined and confirmed as being capable of running the race by a qualified physician.
I affirm that I am participating in the race of my own choice and free will, and not due to any force or pressure of any party whatsoever. I am acquainted with the runway track and its characteristics, it is clear to me and I am aware that this is a difficult race that demands significant physical and mental effort and various dangers that include running on roadsides and in open areas, running at night in conditions of darkness, and that there may be extreme weather conditions (high temperatures, intense humidity, cold, rain, etc.). I declare that I am aware of the fact that my participation in this race without adequate preparation, including maintaining a proper diet, and in deficient physical and health condition and/or after use of alcohol and/or drugs may endanger my health and even my life.
I accept full responsibility for all harm that I may endure during the event, whether it be to body, mind or belongings.
I declare that I have not and will not have claims of any sort towards the association or any of its members, towards the organizers towards the sponsors. I am responsible for any harm that may be incurred to me and my belongings, and I will have no complaints or claims of any sort towards the association, association members, the organizers, their family members, sponsors or anyone affiliated with them (hereinafter: "the organizers') directly or indirectly. The organizers will not bear any responsibility for harm that may be incurred to myself or my escorts, including physical and mental harm that may be incurred to me prior to, during or after the race.
I affirm that I acknowledge the right of the organizers to prevent my participation in the event or disqualify my participation in the course of the race, for any reason, as they will find to be justified.
I affirm that I will fulfill all instructions, regulations and requirements appearing here in the race file and race regulations, including instructions that the organizers will decide upon prior to or during the race.
I affirm that I have no intention of filing a lawsuit against the organizers, their representatives, their escorts, the medical and/or para-medical staff and anyone involved directly or indirectly in the race.
I am obligated to compensate you for any claim or demand that may be served you by myself or anyone on my behalf concerning matters mentioned above and hereinafter.
I affirm that the organizers and people on their behalf and/or their representatives may use photographs of myself taken prior to, during and after the race for the purpose of advertising, sales advancement and marketing of the race or similar events that the organizers may organize in the future.
I declare that it has been made very clear to me and I agree that in the case that the race and/or part of it will be cancelled and/or altered and/or postponed and /or will not be feasible due to constraints of force majeure or any event that the " Mountain to valley Association" has no control over, without prejudice to the generality of the forgoing, weather events of all sorts, war, security incidents and natural disasters, I will make no demand of compensation of any sort, including a claim of reimbursement of sums of money that I have paid for my participation in the race.
I affirm that I understand that according to security regulations, it is explicitly and unequivocally forbidden to sleep or rest in all replacement station complexes, including parking lots, except inside parked vehicles in those parking lots or areas designated as rest/lodging areas, inasmuch as they will be established and marked as such in the parking areas. I am obligated that in the entire period of my stay in any complex of the replacement complexes of the " Mountain to valley Race"' including parking lots, I will not lay down to rest or sleep except in my accompanying vehicle or in areas designated as rest/lodging areas inasmuch as they will be established and marked as such in parking areas.
I release the " Mountain to valley Association" from any responsibility for any harm that may be incurred to me if I will not obey the above restriction.
Safety
I, the undersigned, am obligated to act according to the safety guidelines that include:
Daytime activities – activities will be carried out with hat, water and active mobile device.
Nighttime activities – obligatory use of headlight, glow vest, water and active mobile device.
Road safety:
Travel by vehicle – I, the undersigned, am obligated to heed to the instructions of the Israeli policemen and guiding ushers at junctions and replacement stations and to act in accordance with road signs and demands of ushers that will be stationed there by the association, and that, in order to prevent blockage of parking places, heavy traffic, traffic jams and accidents.
Road crossing – I, the undersigned, am obligated to heed, while crossing roads, to the instructions of the Israeli police and ushers stationed by the association, even at the price of waiting while road-crossing until the road will be vacant and open to crossing of runners.
Running alongside the roads – I, the undersigned, am obligated to run at time of running alongside the roads according to the instructions of the Israeli policemen and the association ushers and according to signposting that will be placed there (running along roadside, sidewalks, etc.)
Lodging:
I, the undersigned, affirm that I understand that according to security regulations, it is explicitly and unequivocally forbidden to sleep or rest in all replacement station complexes, including parking lots, except inside vehicles parked in the parking lots or in areas designated as rest/lodging areas, inasmuch as they will be established and marked as such in parking areas. I am obligated that in the entire period of my stay in any complex of the replacement complexes of the " Mountain to valley Race"' including parking lots, I will not lay down to rest or sleep outside my accompanying vehicle or in areas designated as rest/lodging areas inasmuch as they will be established and marked as such in parking areas.
Signature:
I release the "Mountain to valley Association" from any responsibility for any harm incurred to me if I will not obey the above restriction.
Implications – It is clear to the undersigned below that inasmuch as I will not obey these instructions, the vehicle involved in the incident may be towed or receive a traffic ticket, and the team may be disqualified and have to quit the race.
I state that I have carefully read the Health Statement and hereafter is my signature on the form.
